Things Are Going Well (189/365)

We got really fantastic news from the cardiologist today - Izzy doesn't have to go back and see him until this time NEXT YEAR! I'm so freaking elated. Going from having to take her twice a month or so to once a year is total validation that we made the best decision for her when we opted to go the surgery route. Dr. G was impressed with how teeny tiny and faded Izzy's scar is (I'll have to take a pic of it someday so those of you who are far away can see it), it literally looks like nothing more than a cat scratch. He was also pretty impressed with the fact that she says "thanks." Anyway, the best news we got was that you can't even tell from her EKG that she's had surgery, and apparently they typically can. It was a great way to start the day, that's for sure!

Afterwards we packed the car and headed to J'ville where we plan to spend some time with James and whoever else happens to be around. ;) It should be good times.

I Think She Liked the Chocolate Chip Pancakes (188/365)

I've never given them to her before because I just didn't want to deal
with the mess, but she was wearing a Cubs onesie today so I thought
I'd let her go for it.

Sorry, Mary. ;)
(don't worry, it's not ruined. It's currently soaking in OxyClean)

Alice Really Wanted to Make Daddy a Cake (187/365)

Maybe we'll make a real one this weekend at Grandma's house. Happy
32nd Birthday, Matt!

Bam-Bam, Bam-Bam! (186/355)

Er, I mean Pebbles. Izzy wore her first pony tail today and she
actually left it in all day. She looked pretty crazy, but, of course,
it was cute. I'm kind of partial to the fauxhawk that developed when I
took it out, personally.

Happy 4th of July! (185/365)

Izzy is swimming in and went swimming in an extra pair of Alice panties.

The kissing (second) cousins, JR and Alice. "It tastes like the 4th of
July, Mommy!"

When did Izzy get so big? She really enjoyed sitting on the curb with
the big kids.

The best pic I got of the lot of them on my phone.

All Tuckered Out (184/365)

And Alice isn't the only one I'm referring to. We're off to bed, congrats Fred and Kathy!!

Wish Me Luck (183/365)

That I make it through tomorrow.
Today has already been a LONG day that started with our washing
mashine breaking down (thankfully Matt was able to fix it) and ended
with the best bridal party gifts ever! Alice and I got personalized
frames and Matt got a personalized money clip/pocket knife. I'm
exhausted and still have to get everything together for tomorrow
before I hit the sack.

Tomorrow will for sure be a GREAT day and I'm so excited it's finally
here!!

Party Time(182/365)

I am at Kathy's bachelorette party tonight, so there won't be an extended blog post or pictures, sorry. Stay tuned for updates from the weekend's festivities...

UPDATED, with pic. We had so much fun, I'm down $36 (we went to the casino), and now I'm off to bed so I can start my day off early with a mani/pedi. IT'S ALMOST WEDDING TIME!!!

Also, this is pretty much the half way mark. Are you impressed that I've kept good on my one post a day promise? I know I am!

The House is Finally Empty (181/365)

Now to get it back in order! Hope you made it home safe, Mike and
that Rach gets to see her midnight movie. :)

Miss you.

Matt's a Sucker (180/365)

Guess who is going to be the cutest one year old at the wedding on
Saturday, Isabel!

Thanks for the idea, Grandma! And thanks for not having appropriate
dress socks, Meijer!

And Good Times Were Had By All (179/365)

And the pie was fabulous, by the way. Miss you all already.

Last Full Day (178/365)

The chicken is in the fridge ready for frying and the pies are in the
oven. All that's missing is the rest of the fam who are coming for
dinner. Tomorrow will be the end of a great few days spent with
family, but we sure are going out with a bang by having chicken and
dumplings and peach custard pie!

Wish you all could be here.

Long Day Recap (177/365)

- We witnessed humanity at it's finest at the movie theatre this
morning -- a first-day-on-the-job manager made the day of several
autistic children and their families.

- Tori and I bawled our little eyes out over Toy Story 3. Seriously.

- It's amazing how much a pair of child sized 3D glasses improved
Alice's movie viewing experience. She kept them on the entire time,
and you better believe I saved them for next time!

- We bought Matt some clothes that actually fit him, or at least I
assume they do. He hasn't tried them on yet.

- The girls and I finally have everything (well, almost. Iz needs
dress socks) we need for the wedding next weekend. Ahh, next weekend!!!

- Alice and Grandma ate it pretty hard at The Disney Store. Alice is
fine, Grandma is banged up.

- Izzy is my daredevil water baby. She was jumping into my arms into
the pool!

- Matt treated Fred to a bachelor party at Dave & Busters, and he's
still not home.

It Was a Long Day (176/365)

Even though we didn't get moving until 11am. The girls, Grandma,
Auntie Annie and I swam our little hearts out at the pool. We came
back to the house for lunch, naps, and a movie or two. Pancakes and
popcorn for dinner made for a great end to a great day.

Tomorrow: Toy Story 3, shopping for the wedding, and more swimming. Oh
and Matt is going to Freddy's bachelor party - he's getting married in
a week!!

She Stood In Line for Eight Hours (175/365)

And she's got the blisters to proove it. Hope your new iPhone was
worth it!
